Supporting and Empowering Survivors from Ethnic Minority Groups Affected by Sexual Violence
Supporting women from minoritized communities who have experienced sexual violence requires more than empathy alone. It calls for a trauma-informed, inclusive and culturally responsive approach. Survivors often navigate multiple barriers, which can silence their voices and limit access to justice or care. Service providers, advocates and community leaders can deepen their impact by recognizing survivors’ unique needs and creating safe pathways to healing.
